I haven't had much to say lately, but I find that I still collect and collect.
I thought this might be useful for me one day, and perhaps for anyone else stopping by here. Here's the article; [How To] Change Computer Name in Ubuntu 11.10

Keep Your Team Connected To You & Each Other
Thanks to Karen for posting this.
The point below in the article hit home for me. I've been a part of geographically disconnected teams where it's been difficult to create camaraderie.
I agree with only the bold parts. I don't know of many employers that would condone team building using a TV show - and, regardless, hulu isn't available in Canada.
"Share a “virtual lunch” with the rest of the team a few times a year. How about ordering lunch in and putting the phone on speaker phone, and sharing a lunch or renting the same video or TV and sharing it over lunch? The conversations are bound to be fun, and if folks get the time to lunch, laugh, and share, they’ll grow closer together if they share an interest. Usually you can get everyone to agree on a TV show and even watching it on Hulu.com or Netflix streaming can be a great way to connect the people on both ends."

Domino server time
After migrating to Domino 8 on our servers, we noticed the same issue that Vladimir Kocjancic reports in this article.
It's great to have this correction documented. Thanks Vladimir!

Moving to Notes 8.0.1
Jess Stratton posted a very useful overview of Notes 8.0.1 features and included a PDF file that can be used in a conference room presentation.
It's a good quick overview. Take a look.

More than just a free download
If you go to https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ - you can request a free Ubuntu CD. When it comes in the mail, it includes 4 stickers to promote Ubuntu. Not only does Canonical give us a free download of a free operating system, they also back it up with a free CD for installation, and promotion.
Here's what it looks like;
I've already used Ubuntu 9.04, and it does everything I need.
